Search the public Hub

The full Models directory requests live results from Hugging Face. Search by repository name or publisher, then open a result to inspect the model. Repository IDs have the form publisher/model-name, which distinguishes similarly named models from different accounts.

Search, category, and sort choices are reflected in the directory URL. Sharing that URL preserves those choices; it does not freeze the upstream results at a particular moment.

Categories and parameter filters

Categories include text generation, image generation, video, audio, vision, agents, embeddings, and other tasks. Categories are derived from available Hub task tags, not an independent capability audit.

A model can support more than one task, and incomplete metadata can affect where it appears. Parameter-size filters use the reported parameter label. Models without an interpretable size cannot be included in a size bucket; a missing size is not evidence of a small model.

Choose a sort order

OrderSource and meaning
TrendingHugging Face’s reported trending score; not a token-price ranking.
NewestRepository creation date, most recent first.
OldestRepository creation date, earliest first.
Most downloadsReported Hub downloads; not unique users or a quality score.
Recently updatedThe repository’s latest reported modification date.

Continue with Load more

Load more models follows the Hub’s next-page cursors. There is no fixed 30-model ceiling. Some categories combine several task streams; duplicate repository IDs are removed as pages are combined.

The count refers to results loaded into the current view, not the total number of models on Hugging Face. Changing the query starts a different result stream. Homepage previews are deliberately smaller than the full directory.

Results depend on the Hub

Deleted, private, or unavailable repositories may not appear. A temporary empty result or rate-limit error does not prove a model does not exist. Retry a failed page rather than assuming the loaded list is complete.

Inspect the model page

  • Model card: the repository README, with links and technical details supplied by its authors.
  • License and tags: reported metadata. Check the original license text before using or redistributing a model.
  • Downloads and likes: Hub-reported values, shown as unavailable when missing.
  • Commit history: recent repository changes; not proof of an independent audit.
  • Source link: the original Hugging Face repository for files, access requests, and author updates.

Discovery is not inference

Listing a model does not download its weights, start a hosted runtime, or provide chat access. For intended usage and access restrictions, read model cards and licenses. For a hosted inference service, see the Groq reference guide; hugpad does not currently run Groq requests.
